A collaborative network of Christian churches working together to alleviate local poverty and demonstrate Christian love.

Imagine you are a parent with a loving family.  You are working towards your college degree when you receive the shocking news your husband had been severely injured.  The long and painful rehabilitation begins, and you soon learn he will be on permanent disability and unable to provide income for your family.

The bills begin to pile up. When you thought things could not get worse, your 13 year old son comes home from school and discovers his father on the floor, passing away from a heart attack.  By his side, an eviction notice informing them they had 72 hours to move.

While grieving the loss of your husband, you swallow your pride and began a journey of asking for help from area churches.  You soon discover that despite good intentions, many churches and agencies do not communicate with each other. So you repeat the painful story over and over….

This is a true story and the catalyst behind the creation of The Faith Alliance. It is our belief that when churches come together for a common purpose, great things happen.  In this tragic event, several congregations from the Upward Basketball league the son attended, rallied together to help this hurting family.  As a result, they were able to keep their home, pay their bills, and the mom was able to go back to college, complete her degree and secure a good job.

The Faith Alliance of West Chester & Liberty Township is a collaborative network of Christian Churches and volunteers who see value in working side by side to serve the needs of our community.  We collaborate, communicate, and share resources to help neighbors. We coordinate and support local outreach activities serving those in need.  It doesn’t matter why someone is in need.  It is not our place to judge.  It does matter how we as a Christian community respond to those in need. That is The Faith Alliance of West Chester & Liberty Township.
